Pico8 is an adaptive infrared (IR) remote control that empowers people living with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and any type of quadriplegia to use and control TV hands-free. Its assistive technology can copy most known IR formats. It has a switch scanning feature so you can control it using an adaptive switch that best accommodates you.
To program the Pico8 Adaptive Remote Control, follow these steps:
1. To start the programming mode, hold the keys 1,2, and 3 simultaneously until you hear a beep.
2. Place the Pico8 pointing to your regular IR control remote, as it is shown in the picture.
3. In your Pico8 Remote, press the key you want to program, then, in your regular press the key you wish to Pico8 Copy, for example:
Pico8 (Key 1) → Regular IR Remote (Key On)
Pico8 (Key 2) → Regular IR Remote (Key Off)
4. Repeat the process with all the keys you want to program.
5. After you finish the programming process, you can end the programming mode by pressing the key 1 and holding it until you hear a beep.
